Orientation Day


The beginning of your UNSW Global journey

It is a compulsory event that happens on the first day of your UNSW Global program.
This event is organised to help you prepare for your studies and your life in Sydney.
It is a very important day!

What will happen during my orientation?

  • Attend your Official Welcome

  • Get your student identification (ID) card

  • Get access to your student email and Wi-Fi

  • Receive important information about your visa and overseas health cover

  • Go on a campus tour with our UNSW Global Volunteers

  • Participate in a 'Life in Sydney' workshop

  • Meet Student Advisers and teachers

  • Enjoy a free lunch with other new students

You can find your start date on your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) document.

If you have not received an email, please contact our team.

If you cannot find your session on the day, please come to Student Services on Level 1 of the UNSW Global Building (L5 on Map) at 9am.

What do I bring to my Orientation?

You must bring your:

  • Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)
  • Passport (original).
How do I get to my Orientation?
  • Find your Orientation Location on the UNSW Campus map
  • Find UNSW campus on Google Maps
  • Organise your transport:
    • NSW Transport Trip Planner will help you plan public transport to your Orientation location
    • Check transport timetables on Sydney Transport app Trip View
  • On your Orientation Day, look out for our Yellow Shirt Volunteers - they will be there to help you during your Orientation activities.
For students who will arrive late

If you are arriving late for any reason to the Orientation, please contact our Admissions team at [email protected] as soon as possible and please tell us when you will be arriving and please explain the reason.
