Overseas Students Health Cover (OSHC)Is payable by all overseas students on a student visa. The amount payable for OSHC is calculated by the length of your proposed enrolment period.AUD $TBC
Airport pick-up feeIs payable for all students who book an airport pick-up through UNSW Global.AUD $150
Under 18 monitoring feeIs payable for students that are under 18 years of age and have been issued a CAAW letter by UNSW Global. The monitoring fee is payable for the period specified in the CAAW.AUD $49 per week
Care arrangements/ Guardianship feeIs payable by those under 18 students seeking UNSW Global to approve their care arrangements and issue them with a CAAW Letter (confirmation of accommodation and welfare letter).AUD $150

Student Services & Amenities Fee (SSAF) - For Diploma students only
The SSAF contributes to the provision of amenities and non-academic services for students. These include: counselling, employment, orientation, career advice, childcare, financial advice, health services, food services, sporting and recreational activities, student advocacy and legal services. The SSAF has also allowed the University to increase its funding of Arc, the University’s student organisation.

What you pay

SSAF is charged and payable on a term basis.


Full-time $104.30 per term
Part-time $78.25 per term

  • The Australian Department of Home Affairs requires students to have the financial capacity to cover living costs of at least A$20,290 per year (not including course fees). This means that you will need approximately A$1,700 per month for accommodation, food, utilities and entertainment but the actual costs will depend on your lifestyle choices and needs. You should budget for around A$26,000 per year per adult.
