The Young Leaders Program is aimed at high school students aged 16 or older. It is delivered in a vibrant, dynamic learning environment that motivates out-of-box thinking and empowers cross-cultural awareness; essential attributes for young global citizens in the 21st century.

 

In the spirit of the UNSW tradition of academic innovation and excellence, the Young Leaders Program offers young learners a specially designed taster of UNSW-style learning and also provides them with opportunities to explore academic pathways for future career options.

 

Students who enrol in a UNSW Diploma or Foundation Studies Program (excluding Transition) within 12 months of completing the Young Leaders Program will be awarded a scholarship valued at $1,000.

Learning Outcomes

  • Immerse learners into a range of leadership and domain-specific contexts, which facilitate learning through personal experiences and realizations.

  • Engage learners into UNSW-style learning through critical thinking, creative engagement, effective collaboration and meaningful communication.

  • Develop learners’ cross-cultural awareness and confidence engaging in English in an authentic multicultural learning environment.

  • Enable learners to explore academic pathways for future career options within the STEM and Business domains.

  • Engage learners with UNSW faculties and real campus experiences.

Please note: Students must be aged 16 or above with a minimum IELTS score of 5.0.

All applications for programs close 3 months prior to program commencement.

Program fee per student AUD $1980.
