  • hold qualifications that aren’t recognised by UNSW Sydney.

Once you’ve completed your Diploma in Architecture with us2, you can progress directly to Second Year of one of three architecture degrees at UNSW:

  • Bachelor of Architectural Studies
  • Bachelor of Interior Architecture (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (Honours)

A UNSW Diploma makes it easy to adjust to university, with:

  • smaller classes and at least 20% extra teaching time
  • additional English and academic skill support
  • course material equivalent to First Year courses within the UNSW Sydney degree,
  • access to the same facilities and resources as undergraduate students.

Progress to UNSW Sydney

Once you successfully complete a UNSW Diploma in Architecture, you will progress to Second Year at UNSW Sydney.

The Diploma courses you study are dependent on the major that you choose. To learn more about the program structure and courses you can study, select your preferred degree below.

Architecture bachelor’s degree programs at UNSW Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture:

Note: Diploma in Architecture students must achieve a Satisfactory Grade (equivalent to IELTS 6.5) for the Communication and Academic Literacy course and a minimum pass for all other courses to progress to Second Year of the relevant degree program at UNSW. Students will undertake eight courses in total, including three to five core or prescribed courses, three to five faculty electives and one general education elective (Communication and Academic Literacy course).
