Autumn Colour Kensington Campus

The leadership team at UNSW College strive to ensure the highest quality across all academic and operational activities, including the maintenance of high standards in teaching, commitment to evolving strategic direction in an uncertain world, and care for the wellbeing of all of our staff and students.

Sarah Lightfoot -
Chief Executive Officer

Formerly the Chief Business Development Officer at UNSW College, a role which spanned the Marketing and Sales teams at UNSW College and UNSW International, Sarah started her career with a focus on marketing, before moving into events management and ultimately sales. She worked in several sectors before coming into education in 2004, and in 2006, decided to change the direction of her career by completing a Master of International Education.

Previously, as Vice-President and General Manager of Marketing and Sales at Navitas, the world’s largest university pathway provider, she was responsible for the recruitment, marketing and admissions of 16 business units across Australia, Dubai, New Zealand and Singapore. She led a highly successful business transformation at Navitas where she focused on future-proofing student recruitment channels. Her work resulted in a major uplift in student numbers to generate $600 million in tuition fee revenue. Sarah returns to UNSW to continue a long, fruitful and positive association with the University which spans 25 years.

Mai-Lynda Allen –
Chief of Staff

As Chief of Staff, Mai-Lynda is responsible for Human Resources, Legal and Compliance and IT. Mai-Lynda has worked in Higher Education for over 15 years including 13 years at UNSW.

She has worked in Protocol, Graduations and was the General Manager at UNSW International, where she was instrumental in offshore operations, international student recruitment and global business development. Her most recent senior position encompassed a leading role for the UNSW Operational Excellence Change Program, bringing together the International, Marketing and Communications functions into the new Division of External Relations. This experience has equipped Mai-Lynda with a broad overview of University systems and processes and, as a result, her eye is well-primed to spot natural alignments between UNSW College and the University.

Judith Yang –
Chief Finance Officer

Since graduating in South Korea with a degree in International Trade, Judith has developed her passion for accounting and numbers through a postgraduate Diploma and then a master’s degree from the University of Western Sydney. She is a qualified CPA and Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants as well as a registered Tax Agent.

Following a career in consulting, Judith joined UNSW College as the organisation was going through a major transition and quickly expanded her role from Financial Controller to take on the responsibility as Head of Finance. She is also responsible for the physical infrastructure of the organisation, ensuring there are sufficient and appropriate space and facilities to support students.

David West –
Executive Director Academic

In his role as acting Chief Academic Officer at UNSW College, David oversees UNSW College’s Student Services, Student Experience, Academic Services and academic pathways portfolios. The academic programs in his portfolio include UNSW Diplomas, UNSW Foundation Studies and UNSW English Language courses.

David has been an education manager within the International Education sector for more than 25 years, and for the past 20 years he has been a member of the UNSW College senior management team. While at UNSW College, David was the architect behind the UNSW Diplomas program which commenced in 2018 and has recently developed a model for a UNSW Pre-Masters program currently being considered by UNSW Faculties for approval.

David holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Science and Education and is an alumnus of the University of Sydney. David has previously lectured in undergraduate level mathematics and programming.

Mark Bradley –
Executive Director, Future Students and Business Development

With more than 16 years’ experience working in the International Education sector, one of the things that Mark enjoys the most about his role is the constant evolution of the student journey and the interactions that take place between the student, education advisors and institution. Starting his professional career in Perth, Mark has been working in Sydney for more than five years in the Admissions, Recruitment and Marketing spaces across a range of institutions offering foundation, Diploma and degree. As a recent addition to the UNSW College family, Mark’s number one priority is to collaborate with our valued partners to ensure that we continue being leaders in our field with the programs and services we offer.
