Glenn Jacob

Glenn Jacob is Head of Human Resources at UNSW Global and sits on the executive team reporting to the CEO.  As a member of the executive team Glenn contributes to corporate strategy in areas such as implementing change, leadership development and the creation of a respectful and inclusive culture.  He is also responsible for all aspects of the employee experience including employee relations, recruitment and employee development. Glenn leads a dynamic team of 5 HR professionals providing services to over 600 staff, enabling and supporting improved performance across the business.

Glenn holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology Sydney, an MBA from the University of New England and a Masters in Human Resources and Industrial Relations form the University of Western Sydney. He started his career in the manufacturing sector gaining experience in industrial services before becoming General Manager of the LEAN Project at Boral Construction. It was this role that allowed Glenn to experience the connection between process improvement and business results.

Glenn’s decision to join UNSW Global in 2016 was driven by a strong sense of commitment to education and development gained largely from his own experience of studying, his career to date and also the part time teaching of business that Glenn enjoyed for 11 years. There was a strong alignment between Glenn’s values and commercial experience and the work that UNSW Global undertakes in building strong international partnerships, and in putting people first.  This role has allowed him to pursue his passion for helping people achieve beyond their expectations, something that is a focal part of the UNSW Global brand.

When he’s not at work, Glenn relishes the opportunity to spend time at weekends paddling his Kayak around the stunning Sydney Harbour, investigating river, estuaries and bays.  He relaxes by listening to blues music and playing his guitar.
