Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) and Student Visa

The Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000 and subsidiary legislation/standards (ESOS Framework) protects the interests of international students by setting out standards for education providers. These standards include requirements for staff capability, educational resources and facilities, marketing of courses and placement of students. The ESOS Framework also provides tuition fee protection for international students (known as ‘overseas students’ in the ESOS Framework).
The ESOS framework requires providers to ensure certain information is available to international students, including prospective students. This information is included on our website (particularly the Company Policies webpage) and your offer letter, if you have received one. For Diploma programs, please note you are required to follow UNSW Sydney’s policies and procedures on UNSW Sydney’s website: www.gs.unsw.edu.au/policy/findapolicy/policylist.html
In order to deliver programs to overseas students on student visas, UNSW Global Pty Limited is registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). You can find our registration information here: provider code 01020K. We also deliver some programs on behalf of the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney), including Diploma, Foundation and Transition programs. CRICOS information for those courses is available at UNSW Sydney’s CRICOS page under provider code 00098G.
