Student Competition

  1. The Foundation Studies 30th Anniversary student competition is only open to enrolled UNSW Global Foundation Students.
  2. Both competitions are free to enter.
  3. To enter the Game of Chance raffle competition to go into the draw to win a Harbor Bridge Climb UNSW Global Foundation students must obtain a raffle ticket at the event from a UNSW Global staff member.
  4. On Friday 25th October 2019 on or around 12.30pm, UNSW Global will randomly select one entrant from the Box (Winner) for the Game of Chance competition. The Winner will receive the prize described below.
  5. On Friday 25th October 2019 we will also be running a social media competition (Game of skill) to enter the competition students must take a photo at the event and upload the photo to their public Instagram accounts tagging @unswglobal and using the hash tag #FS30years. The best photo will receive a Fujifilm Instz Mini LiPlay Instant camera

  6. A Winner that fails to collect their prize (or nominate another recipient) at the event on Friday 25th October 2019 from 12.30pm to 1.30pm for the Game of Chance will forfeit their prize and a redraw will be conducted (excluding the original Winner). The prize is not redeemable for cash or an alternative prize.
  7. A Winner that fails to collect their prize (or nominate another recipient) at the event on Friday 25th October 2019 by 4pm for the Game of Skill will forfeit their prize and a redraw will be conducted (excluding the original Winner). The prize is not redeemable for cash or an alternative prize.
  8. UNSW Global’s decisions with respect to the Event Competitions are final and it will not engage in any correspondence with any person in relation to these decisions.
  9. In the event that, for whatever reason, the prizes described in clause 3 is unavailable, UNSW Global may substitute a prize of equivalent value, subject to any direction from Liquor & Gaming NSW or other relevant regulatory authority.
  10. If, for reasons beyond UNSW Global’s reasonable control, the Event Competition is not capable of being conducted in the manner contemplated by UNSW Global, it may (unless to do so is prohibited by law) cancel, suspend, modify or terminate the Event Competition.  
  11. UNSW Global excludes from these terms and conditions all conditions, warranties and terms implied by statute, the general law or custom (other than those terms the exclusion of which would render all or part of these terms void). To the maximum extent permitted by law, UNSW Global (including its officers, employees, contractors and agents) excludes all liability, whether direct or indirect, for loss or damage arising in any way as a result of the Event Competition. This includes any loss associated with any of the prizes or use of the prizes.

  13. For the purposes of the law in relation to privacy and spam, entrants consent to UNSW Global collecting, storing, using and disclosing their personal information to run the Event Competition (including to announce the Winner) and further to the purpose of the Event Competition (being contacting entrants after the Event for marketing purposes).
  14. This is a game of chance under the Lotteries and Art Unions Act 1901 (NSW) (permit number LTPS/19/39032).
  15. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales.
