Leading educational research suggests that assessment is key to learning. As teaching and learning evolve to meet the needs of modern learners, so too should assessment practices. Current best practice calls for a shift in focus away from measuring achievement to measuring progress. Critical in the future development of education is not only up-to-date pedagogy but also well-informed assessment practices.
